Remember the Amazon Marketplace blog from Wednesday (August 3rd)??
This one:

Well, today ... I got this email:

| [Reminder to "rate my experience" with the Amazon Marketplace Seller ...] |
Now, how do I rate this? Should I rate it at all? Should I just
rate it neutral? I can’t rate it 4-5 stars. I really can’t. That’d be entirely
dishonest. For anyone not familiar ... here’s the rating guidelines:
5 stars = Excellent
4 stars = Good
3 stars = Fair
2 stars = Poor
1 stars = Awful
So ... how do I rate it ... saying I do? It wasn’t excellent or
good (if you’ve read that blog ... you know). It was barely fair, though it
wasn’t exactly awful (borders close to it) ... poor would seem less bitter or disgruntled.
Again, there is the problem of them being able to reply and I
cannot offer a rebuttal. It’s definitely not so easy to rate these things. The
seller has yet to reply to the message I left on Monday ... could be they only
check their mail once a week. When in business? That’s not a professional
thing. But, it’s not my call.
Handling the feedback rating is my call ... I can just hope they
were having a bad day, I can be honest, or I can ignore the fact that the
transaction ever took place.
Tough call here ...
But, I thought you’d all appreciate a follow-up.
