NaNoWriMo 2015

Sorry I haven’t kept this blog up to date. Since July it’s been a bit “chaotic”.

This year, even before July’s camp session, I had a definite idea of what I’d been writing about. And, I stuck to the plan. I just didn’t know where it would take me.

In October I got another idea and quickly got the background and characters sorted out for it; then another one just at the end of October. During NaNo (well, more like Thanksgiving) I had another idea. And, towards the end of NaNo I had a fourth.  

Whew!  

I also had an “inspection” of my town home, errands, holiday stuff, and then Christmas planning. Above all that, I managed to complete a story, start the sequel and write EVERY SINGLE DAY. Now that’s a goal of its own.

I met the 50K on November 12^th, and I kept going.

I finally ended with 82,174.

While nowhere near the 152K of 2013 or the 103K of 2014, I met other goals.

What am I going to do for Camp? I have no idea. Well … I have four. I’ll just take it as it comes. Right now, I want to concentrate on working on the ideas I have – background and characters, along with outlining them.

And, I would like to enjoy my holidays without any worries or hurries.

Speaking of that, two of my newest ideas are holiday themed – a first for me.

I have one “Christmas” one and another is from about October to Valentine’s Day. One is more action/adventure/romance (with some comedy), and the other is more of someone trying to remember their life and getting a second chance to do things differently. I’m still working on the fourth one to see where it takes me. Sometimes I tell the story and sometimes the story is already told and waiting for me to just write it out.

Choosing between the ideas is going to be tough. I do have 2016’s NaNo already picked out. Perhaps some of the other ideas will be for camp (April and July 2016).
